What We Do
Each year, the SHPE Conference attracts over 5,000 engineering professionals, students and corporate representatives. The conference is an opportunity for engineering companies and corporations to recruit top talent from SHPE membership. It also provides educational, technical and career opportunities for professional and student engineers.

New Facebook Group, and SHPE and NSBE Fall 2010 Corporate Mixer

To facilitate communication and to strengthen the bonds between CMU SHPE members, a new Facebook group was created. You can access it by navigating to the following page: CMU SHPE Facebook Group. A CMU Class of 2014 group discussion board was created as well to inform incoming students of our existence and our resources.

Also, the Fall 2010 Corporate Mixer has been successfully scheduled for Monday, September 13th, 2010. It seems as though it will be located in Singleton Room and will run from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. Keep posted and check your e-mails during the summer as more details will come soon!

SHPE's mission is to promote the development of Hispanics in engineering, science and other technical professions to achieve educational and professional excellence.

Our members work hard to increase the educational opportunities of Hispanics at Carnegie Mellon University. We strive to promote professional and personal growth and encourage students to participate in activities that further their professional ambitions.
